About Us

Equipment Maintenance, Inc. was founded in 1976 by Buford L. Kelly Sr. to be a complete repair and service facility for all types of equipment, trucks, and trailers. He built a customer base which covers most of the entire state with a major concentration in New Haven and Hartford Counties. The company is still owned by the original owner and continues to have the same customer centric values as it did in the beginning.

In 2006, Equipment Maintenance, Inc. became a Fleetcare Service Provider.

Bart Lipetz, Shop Manager, has been with EMI for over 20 years and in the industry for over 25 years. He has seen firsthand what it takes to run a business and how important customer service is to a small business.
